Set at a Catskills resort in 1960, this is the sweetly comic story of Lois and Marge, two friends from Brooklyn in search of good times and romance over one wild Labor Day weekend. The score showcases 18 Neil Sedaka classics, including “Where the Boys Are,” “Sweet Sixteen,” “Calendar Girl,” and, of course, the chart-topping title song. |

Regional Theatre Activities This Property is NOT Condemned! The Bay St. Louis Little Theatre has taken the first step on its path to a new permanent home after being totally destroyed by Hurricane Katrina. The New John F. Holmes Theatre will be in a building known locally as the “This Property is Condemned” building, a building that was featured prominently in the 1966 film of the same name. Based (loosely) on a Tennessee Williams one-act play, the movie starred Natalie Wood and the devilish Robert Redford, and is believed to be the only movie filmed in Bay St. Louis. The Bay St. Louis Little Theatre broke ground on their new John F. Holmes Playhouse November 6, 2009. The Bay St. Louis Little Theatre presented its Grand Opening Gala October 1 & 2, 2010. The original theater on Boardman Avenue was totally destroyed by Hurricane Katrina. After five years, the Bay St. Louis Little Theatre finally has a permanent home.
