Mama is the glue holding her precocious family together in 1910 San Francisco. Her compassion and wisdom prevail through illness, poverty, romance, life-changing decisions of her children and sisters, and the arrival of her intimidating Uncle Chris with his mysterious female companion. One of Mama's children grows up to write about those times...

Cast: nine middle-aged men; 13 women; boys and girls, ages 6-17.

We held a ceremony after the 27 February 2011 performance of I Remember Mama to recognize Roy Bailey, its director, with the 2011 VTG Lifetime Achievement Award. Roy has been acting and directing in Vicksburg and Baton Rouge since the early 1960s.
